Return to Croft!

The contact came out of the blue mid-week, when one of the top mainstream Formula Renault teams, Fortec Motorsport, contacted James (as the new BARC Formula Renault champion), to take part in the final winter series round at Croft this weekend.



Needing little encouragement, James quickly packed his helmet and travelled up to Darlington to test his new car on Friday in preparation for the race, at a track that he not only knows well, but at which he holds the BARC Formula Renault lap record.

The swiftness of the offer though means that James immediate feelings are not yet available, although a full report of the weekend will follow as soon as possible. "Needless to say," offered his father Ian last night, "he will approach this race just like any other that he has done this year. He knows that Fortec is one of the top teams in the class and he will be determined to make the right impression."
