It was 1.30 a.m., my mind was still whirring and I could not sleep, so I crept from the bedroom, woke up the AppleMac and decided to do some work. It was time for another Web site review anyway and as I absent-mindedly entered my own name into Google (just how sad am I?) only to re-discovered that I still wasn’t famous, the idea of typing in a name that stood a chance of some recognition emerged.

To cut a long story short, I decided on the name of James Gornall, the promising young driver of the Sagaris who I had met at Goodwood Festival of Speed in the summer of 2005. Of course, this is where it all gets a bit galling as there were 15 references to this particular James Gornall in the first five pages (I gave up counting at that point) and the very first one on the very first Google page was www.jamesgornall.com.

The Home page is good and clear with attractive images and just about the right degree of temptation to visit other pages. The Sagaris, driven by James at Goodwood last year, heads the page and links directly to another that features more photos of the Sagaris and the Goodwood Tuscan 2 together with information regarding James prestigious sponsorship package that was announced at the Festival of Speed.

It cannot be easy to design a site that celebrates success modestly enough not to appear precocious and yet gets the message across that this guy has something very special indeed – but I think that James and his team has managed it here. There are other aspects to the site as well; James’ Karting services, ranging from engine tuning to racecraft and the bit that I quite liked, Driving Tuition at Rockingham. As James says, “Ever thought of driving your own car at Rockingham? Taking it out onto the sweet curves of the National circuit, or even onto the International circuit, which incorporates a section of the awesome Rockingham Oval?” Say no more, James!

Many such web sites that I have visited simply concentrate on trying to attract new sponsorship, this one not only gives the viewer an essential insight into James Gornall, the man but equally importantly, TVRs at Goodwood; an invitation to Rockingham; Karting services and some very interesting links to other sites. Take a look, sometime.
