James tests Dodge Viper at Silverstone 21st November 2007 James was invited by team Trimite Brookspeed to test their dodge viper once again on the Silverstone national circuit on 16th November.  It was a very cold, but dry day, and the team were testing new drivers in their search for a championship winning pairing for the 2008 season. The vastly experienced and current Ferrari 430 racer Adam Wilcox joined the team to try the viper, as were 2007 British GTC champion Jamie Smyth, and Britcar racer Anna Walewska.  Each driver took it in turns to try the viper, with everyone setting very respectable lap times. Once again, when James took to the track he immediately impressed setting the fastest lap time of all the drivers. This time was further reduced when he took to the track again, setting a lap which was 0.35 seconds faster than the experienced Wilcox.  “Before I went out I said to Andy (Team Trimite Brookspeed engineer) that there was a 58.8 in the car, sure enough after a couple of laps warming up the car I hit my target time, so Andy pulled me in to allow Anna to get used to the car for a little longer as she has not driven a GT3 before.” James hopes to test with the team again soon, and is looking forward to finalising his racing budget to enable him to race in the British GT championship. |
